This role involves owning the end-to-end development of web applications and optimizing user experiences while collaborating with various teams to build innovative features.

Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end development of our web applications, leading the technical design, implementation, and deployment of a high-quality product from the ground up
Obsess over the details of the user experience by implementing intuitive web user experiences as well as optimizing application performance
Partner closely with product managers, designers, and research teams to define, prototype, and build innovative features that transform complex technology into seamless and intuitive user interactions
Leverage AI-native tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development cycles and establish new best practices in mobile engineering
Own the implementation of Harmonic’s website, engineering blog, and other marketing materials
Qualification
Required
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent industry experience
3+ years of hands-on relevant industry experience
Demonstrated success in delivering complex native web apps with React
Experience with experimentation and iterative development processes
Proven work ethic, self-motivation, and a passion for building impactful products
Experience collaborating with designers, including familiarity with Figma
Solid product sense, an eye for design, and a willingness to think critically about user experience
Experience with modern software development practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build and deployment processes, and testing
Proven track record operating successfully in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Deep Web Expertise: A proven track record of shipping ambitious and user-centric web applications from concept to launch
Product-Minded Engineer: A strong sense of user empathy and product intuition, with a passion for building experiences that are both powerful and delightful
Ownership and Ambiguity: The ability to operate independently and effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and highly ambiguous environment, consistently delivering results
Cross-Functional Excellence: Superb communication skills and a history of working effectively with product, design, and other engineering teams to achieve shared goals
Preferred
Experience with Expo and React Native
Prior experience in collaborating with research teams or in a research-driven environment
Experience in developing products from concept to launch
Experience building complex mobile apps
