The Product Quality Lab Technician will perform microbiological analyses, maintain laboratory standards, and support quality initiatives to ensure product safety and quality.

Responsibilities
Perform microbiological analyses of raw and finished products following established procedures
Verify equipment daily and perform minor maintenance on test equipment as assigned
Ensure all retained samples are properly identified and stored
Prepare reagents, media, and testing supplies as needed
Apply basic aseptic techniques to maintain sample integrity
Assist with special projects supporting quality initiatives
Maintain laboratory housekeeping and complete the master sanitation schedule
Follow all Safety and Food Safety practices during job functions
Contribute to Quality Control and the advancement of IFF within the Quality organization
Qualification
Required
Associate degree or higher in a science-related field OR 5+ years of experience as a lab analyst or lab technician
Experience with LIMS or equivalent laboratory information system
Familiarity with GMP-regulated environments
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to wear required PPE (steel toes, hardhat, hearing protection, protective eyewear)
Physically able to lift/move up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and reach overhead
Comfortable climbing stairs up to 9 levels in high-heat environments (up to 120°C)
Preferred
Previous experience in microbiological testing within a food or ingredient manufacturing setting
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
