Corrections Training Instructor/Coord I
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a Corrections Training Instructor/Coord I to join the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice. This role involves providing research, curriculum development, and instruction in various correctional areas to train staff effectively and ensure compliance with training requirements.

Responsibilities
Provides research, curriculum development and instruction in correctional security, treatment, legal issues, operations, health and safety areas and other related areas
Conducts research and develops instructional materials, lesson plans and other curriculum for Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) training
Plans and organizes training events for DJJ staff
Provides input into the development of the annual training plans in facilities, calendars and other training documents
Provides in-service training and academy training
Submits training and progress reports and provides feedback regarding staff training performance. Completes all related documentation as required
Statewide travel will be required to provide and conduct training
Qualification
Required
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree
Must have two years of experience in any operation or program within the field of corrections and/or education
Graduate study in corrections, justice administration, or law will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
Experience in corrections will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis
