Responsibilities
Develop, write, and manage content across multiple platforms, including websites, newsletters, social media, print materials, presentations, and reports
Translate complex public health topics into clear, engaging messages tailored to various audiences
Support the planning, development, and execution of public health and marketing campaigns, including messaging, creative concepts, timelines, and deliverables
Assist in creating and maintaining content that aligns with digital accessibility standards, including ADA/WCAG 2.1 AA and Revised Section 508 requirements
Support media placement efforts by coordinating with vendors, researching appropriate channels, managing campaign assets, and ensuring timely and accurate distribution
Track and monitor campaign performance metrics and help refine strategies to improve reach, engagement, and effectiveness
Collaborate with subject matter experts, creative teams, and community partners, and remain flexible as priorities evolve
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (graphic design samples required)
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
Understanding of cultural competency and inclusive public health communication
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote work environment
Collaborative, adaptable, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Preferred
2–5 years of experience in public health, nonprofit, or government communications preferred
Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 accessibility standards
