Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of IT professionals responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of our on-premises data centers hosted in co-location facilities and public cloud environments

Provide strategic guidance and vision for the organization's technology infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and supports scalable growth

Oversee the design, implementation, and management of highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud environments

Develop and maintain a comprehensive infrastructure roadmap, incorporating industry best practices, emerging technologies, and cost optimization strategies

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address infrastructure-related needs, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security of systems and networks

Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring effective delivery of contracted services and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs)

Work closely with finance and cross functional leadership to effectively manage the budgets for Infrastructure and Cloud (both Capex and Opex)

Establish and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical infrastructure components, including data centers, public cloud, servers, storage, and networks

Lead initiatives to automate and streamline infrastructure processes, improving operational efficiency and reducing manual interventions

Spearhead cloud migration initiatives/strategy, working closely with and providing strategic guidance and direction to Cloud implementation partners/vendors

Lead our organization's AWS-first cloud adoption strategy while leveraging its comprehensive service offerings to optimize infrastructure performance, security, and cost efficiency

Build and leverage relationships with strategic vendors/partners to drive optimal long-term results for the business

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to infrastructure management, and recommend appropriate strategies and solutions

Manage and develop a high-performing team of infrastructure professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field

Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing technology infrastructure operations, preferably as a Vice President

Strong expertise in managing both on-premises data centers and public cloud environments, with hands-on experience in AWS, Azure, and GCP

Particularly deep knowledge of AWS architecture, services, and best practices is essential as it forms the cornerstone of our cloud strategy

Solid understanding of infrastructure components, including database systems, servers, storage systems, backup and recovery solutions, and network architecture

In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies, containerization, and cloud-native architectures

Demonstrated experience in developing and executing infrastructure strategies that align with business goals and drive operational excellence

Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving innovation and continuous improvement

Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, senior executives, and external stakeholders

Experience in managing and negotiating contracts with vendors and service providers

Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect are highly desirable
