R&D Drug Product Development Co-Op - Spring 2026

Responsibilities

Research factors that affect formulation properties and equipment parameters
Learn and become proficient on lab equipment including viscometers, densitometers, etc
Design and execute studies including development of test fixtures (3D printing, small scale equipment design, etc)
Develop models including computation software and/or statistical models (R, Minitab, etc)
Draft technical reports summarizing the work to help provide platform guidance
Analyze and interpret experimental results using analytical and statistical techniques. Actively participate in weekly meetings with internal and external collaborators
Participate in technical discussions on design of experiments to fill gaps in knowledge
Maintain a laboratory notebook and other technical documents according to required guidelines
Provide other project support as needed

Required

Candidate must have previous process engineering experience
Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., FI, H1-B status)
Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills is required
Completion of Undergraduate Freshmen year at an accredited University is required
Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required
Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of a co-op assignment pursuing a Bachelor's or equivalent experience, Master's, or PhD degree or equivalent experience

Preferred

Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and related majors are preferred
Candidate with CFD modeling (COMSOL, Ansys), CAD, Statistics (DOE), and/or modeling (R, Python) experience is preferred but not required
Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills are preferred
Students with basic laboratory skills and experience in research, experimental design & execution, and data analysis preferred
Proven leadership/participation with campus programs and/or community service activities is desired
