Polymer Process Engineer
The University of Akron is seeking a Polymer Process Engineer to conduct research and testing procedures while maintaining polymer processing equipment. The role involves training students in polymer processing and testing, and generating technical reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

Perform research and testing procedures including generating professional technical reports and providing data analysis for SPSPE personnel and for outside contracts
Maintain Polymer processing equipment
Train students in polymer processing and polymer testing
Qualification
Required
Requires a relevant Bachelor's Degree with preference for a Graduate Degree
Requires a minimum of 4 years of working in the field of Polymer Processing
Good communication skills and proper knowledge in the use and maintenance of polymer processing and polymer testing equipment
Considerable physical exertion required involving bending, stooping, crawling, climbing, lifting or carrying heavy items (over 50 lbs. -- 75 lbs.) and periodically (up to 1/3 of time) working in difficult or awkward positions
Standard working environment with possible minor inconveniences due to occasional noise, crowded working conditions and/or minor heating/cooling or ventilation problems
Near continuous use (>70% of the time) of a video display terminal
