The Daily Wire is looking for a driven Investigations Reporter who is passionate about uncovering the truth and holding powerful institutions accountable. In this role, you will lead original, in-depth investigations that expose wrongdoing and bring important facts to light for a national audience.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute investigative stories from pitch through publication
Identify story angles, pursue leads, and conduct original reporting through interviews, records requests, document review, and data analysis
Produce clear, accurate investigative articles for a broad audience
Research and corroborate information using multiple independent sources
Build and maintain on-the-record and confidential sources in accordance with ethical standards
Maintain organized reporting files and documentation for editorial and legal review
Work with editors and legal counsel to address legal, ethical, and reputational risk
Collaborate with newsroom partners to develop investigative ideas and support reporting initiatives

Required

Background in journalism, investigative reporting, communications, or a related field preferred
Proven experience in investigative or enterprise reporting

Sound editorial judgment and ethical decision-making
Ability to manage long-term projects and meet demanding deadlines
