JJ Food Service Limited is seeking an Internal Stock Controller to manage stock control processes within the operations branch. The role involves compiling stock records, handling goods, and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.

Responsibilities

Compile stock control records and information, such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment

Handle and pick goods and products through receiving, storing, loading and delivery

Receive goods from suppliers checking accuracy against delivery notes prior to unloading ensuring all damaged and missing goods are reported immediately

Ensure online and counter orders placed are prepared accurately for collection according to invoice and picking lists

Check accuracy of deliveries with incoming goods ensuring administration is equivalent to physical delivery reporting any discrepancies

Ensure products are coded/labelled correctly and stored at the correct location

Ensure stock rotation to minimize loss through short dated items

Quarantine non-conforming products for investigation and further action

Check vegetable list for correct quantity and quality

Load goods accurately and safely to vehicles for dispatch

Review not loaded item documentation and investigate for loss, damage or theft

Liaise with relevant managers to ensure that stock negatives are resolved

Investigate damaged items and take action accordingly

Keep system updated with stock movements

Determine slow selling items and make recommendations accordingly

Coordinate and prepare for stock taking process

Conduct cyclic count and resolve discrepancies and queries in a timely manner

Ensure internal transfer procedures are being adhered to according to business requirements

Provide feedback to enhance product performance and service delivery

Seek to improve relations with regard to the provision of efficient communications to facilitate product development and issue management

To ensure that the company internal/external customer care & equal opportunity policies are adhered to at all times

Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for Health & Safety

Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business requirements

Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as may be reasonably expected of the role and as necessary in order to achieve the objectives of the department and JJ Food Service goals
