Responsibilities
Lead environmental planning and permitting for energy and infrastructure projects
Manage NEPA documentation (EAs, EISs, technical reports); NEPA experience preferred but not required
Coordinate permitting efforts across federal, state, and local agencies
Serve as primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and internal technical teams
Manage project scope, schedule, and budgets with accountability for delivery and quality
Oversee and integrate technical studies prepared by specialists (biological, cultural, air, water, etc.)
Ensure regulatory defensibility and consistency across complex, multi-stakeholder projects
Mentor junior planners and contribute to technical and professional development within the team
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience in environmental planning, permitting, or environmental project management
Strong background in energy or linear infrastructure projects
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and multidisciplinary teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable operating in fast-moving regulatory environments
Preferred
NEPA experience preferred but not required
NEPA experience preferred, but strong environmental permitting experience will also be considered
