Senior Instructional Designer
US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions. They are seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to join their training team, focusing on developing and maintaining training programs for buyers and inventory planners in the Retail department. The role involves collaborating with subject matter experts, creating engaging training content, and ensuring the relevance of existing programs.
Responsibilities
Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts to define learning objectives
Perform needs analysis and evaluate existing documentation to identify the most appropriate training approach and content to meet the demands of the learning objectives and audience
Plan and write content for training programs using instructional and distribution methods (online, classroom or blended) that best suit the content
Create engaging and valid trainee evaluation tools that prove successful knowledge transfer
Build processes and templates to minimize the development time for new training materials, and to help others participate in our development cycle
Help maintain existing programs to ensure the content remains complete and relevant
Qualification
Required
7+ years of relevant experience
Knowledge and application of instructional theories, adult learning, on the job learning, knowledge management theories, and principles in both on-line and classroom instruction
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently
Preferred
Fluency in all Microsoft Office applications, HTML and Photoshop
Experience using e-learning software, such as Captivate or Viewlet Builder
Proven competence using a Learning Management System (LMS)
