Responsibilities

The General Counsel will operate as a trusted advisor to the Board of Directors, and senior leadership

Lead legal counsel for international life and health products, including policy wordings, endorsements, riders, and regulatory filings

Negotiate and standardize distribution, TPA, MGA, provider, and vendor agreements

Oversee marketing approvals, complaints, and appeals across jurisdictions

Ensure regulatory readiness and compliance across international markets

Oversee subsidiary governance, licensing, and statutory compliance

Lead compliance risk assessments for new products and initiatives

Supervise in-house counsels in Ecuador, Colombia, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic

Ensure consistency, best practices, and group-wide legal standards

Review and escalate material legal, compliance, and litigation matters
