Responsibilities

Lead the design, prototyping, manufacturing, testing and qualification of a satellite battery system including the battery pack, as well as charging, discharging, and Battery Management System (BMS)
Work closely with the power systems engineering and mechanical engineering teams to develop a complete, flight-ready solution

Required

BS or higher in electrical engineering
5+ years of experience developing lithium chemistry battery systems
5+ years of experience designing DC-DC power converters and/or battery chargers
Experience with industry standard electrical engineering and layout tools
Located in the Portland, OR metro area (or willing to relocate)

Preferred

10+ years of experience developing lithium chemistry battery systems
10+ years of experience designing DC-DC power converters and/or battery chargers
Experience with multi kilowatt power systems
Experience with spacecraft power systems (PCDUs, solar arrays, etc.)
Knowledge of aerospace qualification processes
Knowledge of aerospace reliability analysis and industry practices
Deep knowledge of battery chemistries and performance parameters
Experience with rapid prototyping
Experience with Altium, SIMPLIS, etc
