Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections
Develop, implement, and maintain AR/AP policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
Identify and execute process improvement initiatives, including automation and system enhancements, to streamline accounting operations
Oversee customer billing, collections, credit management, and dispute resolution activities
Manage vendor relationships and payment terms to ensure timely payments while optimizing cash flow
Review and approve AR/AP-related journal entries and ensure proper posting to the general ledger
Review AR and AP subledger reconciliations to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Prepare and review AR/AP reporting, KPIs, and metrics to support management decision-making
Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development to team members to build capability and engagement
Partner with internal and external auditors by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Travel, IT, Procurement, and Operations) on organizational initiatives
Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices
Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
In-depth experience with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and general accounting principles
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven people-management, coaching, and conflict-resolution abilities
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage competing priorities
High level of integrity with a commitment to confidentiality and compliance
Solid understanding of accounting system design and internal control environments
Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
Comfortable presenting information and responding to questions from leadership and stakeholders
Demonstrated learning agility and adaptability in handling new responsibilities
Fluency in written and spoken English required

Preferred

CPA or CMA preferred
Additional language skills are a plus in support of a global organization
