Responsibilities

Design, build, and own core metrics used to evaluate system performance in both simulated and real-world environments
Conduct deep exploratory analyses and long-running investigations to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities
Lead statistical experimentation, including A/B testing, hypothesis testing, and sensitivity analysis
Write and optimize SQL queries and Python code to analyze large, complex datasets
Partner closely with engineering and simulation teams to translate analytical insights into actionable improvements
Create clear, well-structured analyses and reports that influence technical and leadership decision-making
Help shape the long-term analytical foundations and best practices of a growing data science function

Required

Several years of industry experience in data science, analytics, or applied statistics (senior-level preferred; strong mid-level candidates considered)
Strong background in statistics and experimental design
Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis
Experience working on complex, technical systems where metrics and evaluation are non-trivial
Ability to think rigorously, structure ambiguous problems, and build foundational analytical frameworks from the ground up
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, engineering-heavy, highly collaborative environment
Statistical inference, hypothesis testing, and experimental design
A/B testing and metric validation
Exploratory data analysis
SQL (advanced querying)
Python for analytics
Clear technical communication
