Director of Creative Strategy

The Director of Creative Strategy will drive creative innovation for the in-house agency, leading a team to develop strategies that connect meaningfully with Card Members and prospects through cutting-edge digital campaigns. Responsibilities
Oversee, manage, and resource a dedicated team of (4) full-time creative strategists, fostering their growth and success
Lead the development and execution of innovative digital, channel, and content strategies across platforms and customer touchpoints, including 360 campaigns, social, video, and emerging technologies
Translate business priorities into clear, actionable briefs that inspire impactful work
Partner with fellow Creative Strategy Director in B2B to establish team vision, best practices, and scalable processes
Collaborate with inter-agency teams (Account, PM, Creative) to ensure excellence throughout the project lifecycle
Build strong relationships and trust with product and marketing partners, influencing long-term marketing roadmaps
Work with enterprise insights team to harness customer research, competitive analysis, category trends, and consumer behavior to guide strategy development
Partner with enterprise digital teams across analytics, SEO, and marketing platforms to design seamless, connected digital customer journeys
Confidently present and advocate for clear creative visions and strategies to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience at a full-service digital creative agency (or equivalent)
4+ years of experience directly managing a team and leading creative strategy for complex, multi-channel marketing campaigns
Skilled at leading and inspiring cross-functional teams, cultivating collaboration, and encouraging courageous creativity
Proven track record of strategic leadership in digital creative strategy, with expertise in leveraging technology, platforms, and emerging trends
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of simplifying and articulating complex concepts and strategies
Ability to excel in dynamic environment, leading many concurrent projects across teams
Understanding of data analysis, SEO, and content management systems enabling connected customer journeys
Advanced proficiency using Microsoft tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel
Case studies/portfolio demonstrating ability to lead development of effective creative strategies leveraged across platforms, channels, and customer touchpoints
