Garver is an employee-owned engineering, planning, and environmental services firm focused on aviation and other sectors. They are seeking a motivated civil engineering student to join their Aviation Team as an intern, where they will receive training and mentorship from experienced professionals in various aspects of aviation civil engineering.

Responsibilities

Work alongside and be mentored by experienced aviation design professionals and industry leaders
Receive training from senior engineers in various elements of airfield pavement design, pavement maintenance, airport lighting, and construction oversight for general aviation and commercial service airports
Visit Garver’s Aviation project sites, such as airport hangars, taxiways, and runways
Gain experience in the competitive consulting engineering industry by assisting with project administration, submitting proposals, and grant applications

Qualification

Civil engineering degreeAviation industry interestMicrosoft OfficeAutoCADMicrostationWritten communicationVerbal communication

Required

Must be pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program
Interest in pursuing civil engineering in the aviation industry
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation
