Responsibilities

Drive profitability and growth for the rental department across all locations
Review and analyze financial reports, budgets, and fleet utilization to optimize operations
Collaborate with store managers and rental coordinators to deliver outstanding customer service
Oversee inventory management, equipment ordering, and fleet mix to meet market demand
Hire, train, and mentor rental department staff, fostering a high-performance culture
Ensure accurate invoicing and billing, including transportation, cleaning, fuel, and damage waiver charges
Prospect for new customers and build lasting relationships
Conduct regular visits to company locations, customer sites, and job sites to ensure rental needs are met
Monitor competition and adjust pricing and offerings to stay ahead in the market
Support the credit department in resolving past due accounts and customer conflicts
Maintain high standards for fleet condition and department operations
Be hands-on with equipment and willing to meet customers on job sites
Follow anti-theft protocols and safety procedures

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
Proven experience managing sales or rental teams, financials, budgets, KPIs, and full operations
Strong understanding of customer base and equipment applications
Excellent communication, organizational, and people management skills
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and presentation software; CRM and CDK experience a plus
Valid CA driver's license and clean DMV record; ability to travel as needed
Honesty, integrity, flexibility, and availability required
Ability to stand, walk, maintain balance, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to visit Fresno, Merced, Sacramento and Reno stores with overnight stays as needed

Preferred
