Responsibilities
Managing and improving the operations of our programs to deliver value for our members
Influencing standard operating procedures to efficiently deliver on programs and create positive results
Meeting with growers and producers in person at their farms, and via phone or remote meetings
Administering USDA grants accurately and timely as a service to members
Managing the carbon credit issuance and sales operations of the California Soil Restoration Project
Qualification
Required
Is a self-starter and goal-setter with an entrepreneurial mindset, who can be productive with limited supervision
Has experience working with agricultural producers, growers and suppliers, remotely and via onsite interactions
Has an undergraduate degree in agriculture/agronomy/environmental science or related fields
3+ years of relevant work experience, such as project management or program management in an agriculture products or service business, or conducting field research
Has experience with NRCS, SARE, USDA, CDFA or similar grant program administration
Has demonstrated the ability to translate program goals into standard operating procedures, quality metrics and tracking systems
Has demonstrated the ability to identify opportunities for improvement in operations or systems, and the initiative to implement new work procedures to improve results
Has strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Is proficient with a broad range of business productivity software products, including project management and customer relationship management systems
Has a mindset of continuous improvement, curiosity and is looking for ways to improve outcomes for customers
Is passionate about making agricultural systems more sustainable, environmentally and financially
