Regional Sales Manager
SoTalent is a leading organization in the insurance and risk management space, seeking a seasoned sales leader to drive regional growth. The role focuses on strategic planning, sales execution, and developing high-performing business development teams in partnership with operations and enablement functions.
Responsibilities
Partner with Sales Enablement to accelerate prospect qualification, research, lead development, and nurturing efforts
Develop and execute both annual and multi-year regional sales strategies aligned to business objectives
Present forward-looking sales plans to senior operations leadership, covering pipeline development and market opportunities
Lead regular reviews with business development teams to assess pipeline health, remove obstacles, and advance priority prospects
Collaborate with operations leadership to integrate sales efforts into day-to-day execution and reinforce a dual delivery approach
Evaluate business development performance jointly with operations leadership and drive continuous improvement
Strengthen relationships with brokers, consultants, and strategic partners to maximize market presence
Own the client service engagement process, promoting early stakeholder involvement, structured planning, and consistent use of sales tools and templates
Oversee CRM discipline, ensuring accurate documentation of call plans, strategies, action items, client service plans, and proposals
Guide the development of compelling proposals that clearly articulate value, solutions, and long-term risk improvement strategies
Design and maintain balanced sales territories to ensure equitable opportunity and workload distribution
Coach and mentor business development teams to build healthy pipelines, improve call quality, and execute focused, strategic outreach
Establish structured call planning, meeting preparation, and performance objectives to drive consistent results
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree preferred; background in Engineering or Finance is a plus
10+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with demonstrated leadership and sales management success
Proven ability to lead teams, execute strategic sales plans, and collaborate across sales and operations functions
