Responsibilities

Cultivate consulting relationships with architectural design team influencers and specifiers
Identify and secure opportunities to prepare door and hardware specifications
Provide timely and accurate product information for use in commercial project specifications
Deliver targeted continuing educational programs highlighting new products, solutions, and design-assist professional services
Assist with product substitution and approval procedures and follow up to ensure specifications are held in the bid process
Utilize Salesforce.com as a customer relationship, project tracking and time management tool
You will work alongside a committed team of professional consultants who are focused on providing specification support and services to many of the top architectural firms in the country
You will serve as the point-of-contact for the architect's education, specification, client satisfaction and technical support needs
You will be responsible for architectural development, project tracking and ultimately gaining approval for our internal team of writers to prepare Division 08 door and hardware specification documents
You will promote adoption of the Openings Studio BIM tool and present project proposals for value-added professional services

Required

Applicants must live in Los Angeles County, CA
You are a self-motivated, organized individual with a passion for brand-specific product promotion and specification
You are known for follow-up habits and driven to satisfy your client's needs and to deliver above expectations
You are a self-motivated, organized individual who takes pride in attention to details and accuracy in their work
You're a multi-tasker who can manage time and projects proficiently
You are a strong communicator, active listener, and negotiator. You can work independently but believe in teamwork
You have the ability to travel upon request within an assigned territory (travel required: up to 30%) and perform responsibilities in a home office environment
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sale presentations
Your background includes a College/University degree (preference for specialization in related curricula such as: architectural, design/engineering/drafting, construction science/management, business, or similar)
At least 2-3 years' industry related experience in architectural representation, specification writing, or Design-Build construction management, will be considered in lieu of degree

Preferred

Working knowledge of Autodesk® Revit® or GRAPHISOFT® Archicad® is a plus
