Intern - Naturalist (Summer)
State of South Dakota is seeking an Intern - Naturalist for the summer session. The role involves planning and presenting educational programs across various parks to enhance visitor experiences through environmental and outdoor education.

Responsibilities
Planning and presenting programs at Roy Lake State Park, Sica Hollow State Park, Pickerel Lake Recreation Area, and Fort Sisseton State Park
Programs will be geared towards youth and adults and will include historical information to meet Parks Division annual theme, outdoor education, environmental education, games, and contests
Qualification
Required
APPLICANT MUST BE A CURRENT PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME STUDENT (MINIMUM OF 6 CREDIT HOURS) IN UPCOMING SEMESTER OR IN THE IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING SEMESTER
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply
By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program
Successful applicant(s) will be required to undergo a background investigation
Preferred
Preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior
Preference may be given to South Dakota residents
Preference may be given to students of South Dakota institutions
