They are seeking a Public Relations Intern to join their Defense Systems Communications Team, where the intern will gain valuable experience in communications, marketing, and public relations while working full-time during the summer of 2026.

Responsibilities

Become part of Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems Communications Team

Learn new skills, explore the enterprise, network with experts, and connect with thought leaders

Craft strategic communication plans and familiarize with marketing operations and measurement metrics

Strength and proficiency in communications writing including talking points, messages and editorial copy

Required

Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026

Be majoring in or having majored in a Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Public Affairs or related field

Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026

Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Have familiarity with AP Style guidelines

Preferred

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher

Experience in crafting strategic communication plans

Have familiarity with marketing operations and measurement metrics

Be familiar with communications channel strategy and content forms, including but not limited to social media, press releases and web copy

Strength and proficiency in communications writing including talking points, messages and editorial copy

Detail-oriented and deadline driven
