Assistant Surplus Warehouse Manager

Responsibilities
Generate and distribute departmental pickup request forms and labels; schedule, coordinate, and conduct pickups
Assist with public auctions
Receive and sort surplus items for re-purposing, sale, scrap, or disposal, process transfers in Workday
Track and log departmental surplus property requests and maintain accurate inventory records
Supervise and assist part-time employees during pickups, auctions, and warehouse operations
Maintain warehouse cleanliness, equipment, and vehicles; assist with forklift operations as needed
Provide ongoing training and guidance on surplus policies and procedures
Act as backup for warehouse building executive responsibilities and emergency contact duties
Perform other duties as assigned to support surplus operations
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
At least two years of experience in purchasing, central supply, storeroom operations, logistics, or related field
Valid driver's license
Preferred
At least one year of experience in inventory control of surplus property within higher education
Forklift Certification
