Responsibilities
Manage accounting for all debt instruments, including term loans, revolving credit facilities, bonds, letters of credit, and OEM/vendor financing arrangements
Ensure accurate recording of interest expense, amortization of debt issuance costs, and compliance with ASC 470 and applicable debt covenant requirements
Support classification analyses for vendor financing and related accounting treatments
Participate in new debt issuances, restructurings, extinguishments, amendments, and compliance certificate processes, ensuring proper technical accounting conclusions
Draft debt footnote disclosures and MD&A content for SEC filings
Collaborate with Fixed Assets and Operational Accounting teams on capitalized interest calculations and collateral compliance
Manage 2-3 parallel cross-functional initiatives, including system implementations, process enhancements, and SOX control design and execution
Partner with external auditors on all treasury-related accounting areas during quarterly reviews and annual audits
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA required
8+ years of relevant financial accounting and reporting experience
Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and internal control frameworks
2-3 years of experience operating at the Senior Manager level with technical depth in debt accounting
Strong managerial, organizational, and project-management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; capable of explaining complex accounting topics to non-technical stakeholders
Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working across functions in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-growth environment
Preferred
Experience in both public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and industry is a plus
You enjoy tackling challenging accounting topics related to complex capital structures
You're curious about how financing strategies evolve within a rapidly scaling cloud infrastructure provider
You are (or want to become) an expert in debt accounting, SEC reporting, and internal controls over treasury processes
