Stella Maris Inc is a company that partners with the Jesuits to provide excellent clinical and residential services at the Colombiere Jesuit Retirement Facility. They are seeking an Activity Coordinator to plan and coordinate local trips and activities for the men at the Jesuit Community, ensuring a variety of educational, social, and physical activities are available.

Responsibilities

Qualified candidates will coordinate (planning, booking, travel arrangements, etc.) local trips for the men at the Jesuit Community including, but not limited to, trips to the museum, meal outings, celebratory activities, seminars and other enriching events

May at times also coordinate on-site activity that is recommended by the men in the facility that is either educational, recreational, or enhances community ties and/or relationships amongst each other

Establish a committee which sole purpose is to obtain feedback from the men with regards to what activities, trips, etc. they would like to participate in

In order for the activity to be value-added it is important to ask for, and ascertain, consensus and feedback

Ensure there is a variety of activity that meets various educational, social and physical activity needs

Create a calendar of events that can be displayed and shared in the community to advertise various community events and/or trips

Create a mechanism (interview/survey) to determine if activity was value-added

Must work three days a week including one weekend day a month to ensure daily and/or weekend activities are appropriately facilitated and organized
