Responsibilities
Responsible for managing the loan processing workflow and ensuring timely and accurate completion of loan operations
Reviewing loan applications, gathering required documentation, conducting due diligence, and coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate loan closings
Create structured timelines and coordinate internal sales and capital markets teams to ensure a loan is fully documented in a timely manner according to firm and regulatory guidelines before funds are distributed to the client
Liaise with clients in a time-sensitive manner to obtain relevant documents and information
Open escrow, order title, appraisals, payoffs/releases, credit reports, OFAC and lien checks, and insurance documents, amongst other information in order to complete loan files
Analyze documents accurately and communicate additional needs
Review loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance and raise potential risks and concerns
Support Conventus’ strong customer relationship culture through customer contact, quality customer service, and superior loan knowledge
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field (preferred)
Previous experience in the real estate or mortgage industry a must
Previous experience in private money lending is a plus
Proficiency in reading title documents a must
Proficiency in reading entity documents a must
5+ years' experience in loan processing, underwriting, or related field
Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze financial documents
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in loan processing and understanding lender guidelines
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines
Preferred
Experience in construction lending preferred
