Responsibilities

Managing and providing day-to-day leadership to a team of six software development engineers

Overseeing technical projects from planning to delivery, ensuring solutions are completed on time, within scope, and to high-quality standards

Fostering continuous improvement by mentoring team members, promoting skill development, and encouraging knowledge sharing

Collaborating closely with cross-functional partners, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-impact digital products and client experiences

Defining and communicating a clear technical vision that inspires and aligns the team around IDC’s digital strategy

Championing engineering excellence through best practices in coding, architecture, testing, and performance optimization

Required

Over 8 years of commercial experience in the software industry, including hands-on full-stack engineering and team leadership responsibilities

Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API design principles

Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems such as Git

Familiarity with modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and scalable web application development

Proven ability to manage and mentor software engineers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement

Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively across global, cross-functional teams

High adaptability, curiosity, and eagerness to learn new technologies and development methodologies

Communicative proficiency in both English and Czech (B2+)
