Responsibilities

Oversees all peer review activities and supports Peer Review and Professional Practice RN Coordinators

Monitors significant trends by analyzing aggregate data and monitors the performance of practitioners, identifying areas for performance improvement and the quality of care we provide

Coordinates and manage leadership meetings as needed to improve outcomes

Attends all assigned meetings and completes necessary documentation and follow up, working closely with the respective Medical Staff Leader or Committee Chair

Collaborate with other key individuals to investigate problems/issues identified though PPE process or peer review, gather pertinent information and solve problems directly or recommend course of action for resolution

Support Physician Leadership Development and Collegial Collaboration efforts across the Medical Staff

Oversees ongoing reporting of PPE Metrics and outcomes to Credentials Committee and Medical Executive Committee

Managing the standardization of processes and collection, retention and distribution of data and learnings from M&M’s focusing on opportunities for improvement across the care spectrum

Collaborate with physician leaders, Medical Staff officers, and/or hospital administration regarding an individual practitioner's performance improvement plan

Responsible for reviewing all physician professionalism reports, reviews with CMO and physician liaison, consolidate professionalism data for reporting to medical staff leadership

With the Director Practitioner Quality & Professionalism, manages professionalism issues identified at NCH, key liaison with medical staff leadership for professionalism issues

With Director Practitioner Quality & Professionalism, support physician leaders and ensure follow-through of reports through established feedback pathways

Required

Minimum Bachelors degree required

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida

Minimum 3 years' experience in performance improvement with strong clinical background required

Flexibility, perseverance, fortitude, and excellent written/verbal communication skills

Strong project management, knowledge of computers, database management, information retrieval and report formatting

Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows

Preferred

Masters degree preferred in Business Administration, Economics, or Healthcare related profession

Minimum 5 years' experience in Business Administration, Economics, or Healthcare related profession preferred
