Senior Technical Program Manager, Network Infrastructure

Responsibilities

Lead with knowledge in creative solutions for data center infrastructure (e.g., space, power, and cooling)
Partner with network architects and deployment engineers to translate physical demands of the network (e.g., space, power, fiber) to requirements of building designs
Work with design engineering firms and partners to develop solutions that can be deployed to support Google’s global network
Work with vendors (e.g., racks, rack, network equipment vendors) to define how they develop new products to ensure they are deployable for Google globally
Present to executive leadership design and cost options to solve problems of the Google network

Required

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
8 years of experience in program management
8 years of experience in multi-discipline roles such as network, fiber, electrical, or mechanical (cooling)

Preferred

8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects
Experience working on defining and designing data center infrastructure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a data-driven analytical approach to solving challenges
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills with attention to detail
