They are seeking an Instrument and Control Technician responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting power plant instrumentation and control systems.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, configuration and repair of power plant instrumentation, pneumatics, electronics, electrical and process control systems

Assist in performing tests as required by plant operation, maintenance and plant management

Actively participate in hands-on training, required classroom training and computer interactive training programs, as directed by management

Successfully complete 4-year apprentice program and qualify for Instrument & Control Tech C

Travel to other locations may be required

Required

Must be at least 18 years old & High school diploma or GED

Must have successfully passed the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Maintenance Positions Selection Systems (MASS) test

Must respond to overtime and call outs

Must commit to working safely and adhere to Company safety rules including wearing a hard hat, safety footwear, protective eye wear and Proper Protective Equipment (PPE)

Able to lift 50 pounds

Valid driver's license

Must be respirator qualified (Pulmonary Function Test)

Must take Base line Audiogram

Minimum of one-year industrial instrument experience desired

3-years of Power Plant experience

Successfully pass the Xcel Energy screening requirements, which include a drug test, security clearance and other exams that are required by federal regulations, such as OSHA and DOT, will be performed as required
