TowneBank is seeking a Summer Intern in Information Security to gain exposure to processes and duties related to managing cyber risks. The intern will assist the information security team in identifying and preventing potential security risks, detecting vulnerabilities, and participating in risk assessments.

Responsibilities

Participate with the information security team to ensure appropriate measures are in place to identify and prevent potential security risks throughout the network and endpoint environment

Assist with detecting vulnerabilities and working with the IT team to ensure timely remediation

Perform research work in the area of information and network security to ensure continued progress in the protection of information assets

Participate in the development and review of risk assessments

Participate in the implementation and review of appropriate user access throughout the network

Required

Must be at least 18 years of age or older

Must have completed at least one year of college and currently enrolled in a 4-year university or currently enrolled in a Master's Degree Program

Must be available to work Monday through Friday, May 18, through early, mid-August

Demonstrated written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively utilize modern telecommunications tools

Punctual and dependable

Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

Works well in a team environment

Ability to successfully balance multiple priorities

Preferred

Work Experience and/or Degree program related to Technology and Information Security
