Pure Flavor® Farms is a family of greenhouse vegetable growers committed to sustainable practices and high-quality produce. The Production Manager will oversee the production department, ensuring compliance with quality standards and managing staffing and efficiencies.

Responsibilities

Oversee the production department managing staffing levels, productivity, cost controls, waste reduction, and overall department efficiencies

May oversee multiple production operations

Establish and implement SOPs and production schedules for the department

Implement best practices and follow lean manufacturing principles while maintaining department KPI’s

Develop, maintain, and review all necessary packing records

Monitor the quantity and quality of product to ensure that it is of the required standard

Provide effective and timely coaching, training, and corrective action guidance as well as performance management to department supervisors

Responsible for the department's safe working environment; ensuring that company and statutory hygiene, housekeeping and safety policies and procedures are complied with

In collaboration with the Food Safety team, ensure department training, compliance, and enforcement of all company policies/procedures/guidelines regarding food safety, GMPs, SOPs, and HACCP

In partnership with the HR team, ensure department training, compliance, and enforcement of all company policies/procedures/guidelines as well as local, state, and federal laws

Required

Secondary school education required

Minimum of 3 years of high volume, production department management experience

Proven track record of developing and maintaining department efficiencies

Thorough knowledge of packaging and/or packing processes is essential

Continuous improvement experience including working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

Demonstrated experience with Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety and Food Safety

Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Able to work in a team environment with individuals of all leadership styles, personalities, and career levels

Strong knowledge of legislative requirements to maintain compliance to all relevant statues and guiding principles

Must be able to handle sensitive issues with tact and maintain strict confidentiality of private information

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate keen attention to detail and task-related accuracy, as well as consistent follow-through skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must be flexible to shift assignments as required to meet both customer & business needs
