Environmental Test Technician Senior Second Shift – Millennium Space Systems

Responsibilities

Execute environmental tests of space flight hardware using a variety of specialized equipment and tools, including: electrodynamic shakers, thermal vacuum chambers, thermal cycling chambers, torque wrenches, adhesives, etc
Install and operate test instrumentation and other specialized test equipment, including: accelerometers, thermocouples, etc
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, assembly procedures, test procedures, etc
Work with engineering to define and refine standard operating procedures
Record, prepare, organize, and deliver test data, run logs, and other relevant documentation for inclusion in final test reports
Maintain environmental test lab equipment, perform resource 5S activities, etc
As required, oversee testing at outside test facilities
Support initiatives to maintain safe operations, ensure product quality, reduce lead time/labor hours, etc. through environmental test

Required

2+ years experience working in a test environment
Available to work shifted or alternate work schedule when required
Ability to maintain an organized, clean workspace
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers
Strong attention to detail
Some travel may be required

Preferred

5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the aerospace industry
Experience with thermal, vibration, EMI/EMC, shock, TVAC and/or acoustic testing
Experience working in cleanrooms with ESD sensitive components
Experience setting up and operating a wide range of machining tools, including: CNC mills, CNC routers, drill presses, grinders, chop saws, power and hand tools
Experience working with test automation equipment (i.e. power supplies, DAQs, etc.)
Industry certification, Trade School training, and/or Military experience
Experience working with Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence
Ability to obtain Clearance
Ability to travel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
