Project Engineer II
TGW Logistics is a company specializing in integrated material-handling systems, and they are seeking a Project Engineer II to serve as the mechanical and technical lead on complex projects. This role involves close collaboration with the project team and customers to ensure project success from sales handover to customer acceptance.

Responsibilities
Completes assigned project tasks to maintain budget, schedule, and quality requirements, while maintaining awareness of contractual requirements regarding system performance
Ensures customer satisfaction while meeting or exceeding as-sold margins in accordance with project budget and schedule
Validates plausibility of technical solutions, clarifying contradictions or inconsistencies with customers and/or suppliers
Assists with monitoring department and supplier functional specifications and layout against contractually agreed performance
Ensures system compliance with relevant safety and industry standards
Participates in layout creation and project-specific revisions, focusing on integration of construction and supplier equipment, proactive detection of collisions, and coordination with layout designer
Supports the definition of supplier requirements, technical clarification of third-party equipment, and preparation of subsequent supplier selection
Contributes to the definition, identification, and implementation of cost-saving activities
Regularly communicates and collaborates with other members of the project team to ensure exchange of relevant project information
Leads creation of system documentation, including system layout
Participates in the organization of project closing meetings, recording all important information and lessons learned throughout project
Performs additional duties as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience within material-handling industry
Up to 30% travel as required
System-level working knowledge of Mechanical, PLC Controls, and Software Engineering
Proficiency with mechanical design software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Excellent communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively across a variety of audiences
Leadership skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
Robust knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to remain stationary at a desk for prolonged periods of time
Ability to go to site frequently and move safely around industrial and/or warehouse environment
Ability to lift and carry supplies up to 25 pounds at a time
Ability to operate computers, tablets, phones, and other electronic devices
Ability to communicate with others verbally and in writing, on a frequent basis
Ability to tolerate exposure to job site temperature fluctuations due to seasonal weather in geographic region
