Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain a robust configuration management framework that outlines processes, policies, and procedures for managing software and hardware configurations throughout their lifecycle
Utilize Confluence and Jira to create and maintain comprehensive documentation, workflows, and dashboards to support configuration management activities, including configuration identification, change management, and release management
Establish and manage a centralized repository within Confluence and Jira to accurately identify and document all configuration items (CIs), including hardware, software, documentation, and related assets
Oversee and coordinate the change management process, leveraging Jira to track and manage change requests, approvals, and implementation tasks while ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures
Implement and manage version control systems within Jira and Confluence to track changes, revisions, and baselines for source code, documentation, and other software artifacts
Collaborate with software development and release management teams to plan and coordinate software releases, leveraging Jira to create Release packages, manage release schedules, and track deployment tasks
Conduct regular configuration audits using Jira and Confluence to verify the accuracy and completeness of configuration information, identify discrepancies, and ensure compliance with established standards
Maintain up-to-date documentation within Confluence for all configuration items, including technical specifications, installation guides, configuration manuals, and release notes
Provide support for incident and problem management activities by leveraging Confluence and Jira to provide configuration information and facilitate root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues
Deliver training sessions and provide guidance to IT staff and stakeholders on configuration management best practices, tools, and processes utilizing Confluence and Jira

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 2+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree
3+ years of experience in configuration management or related roles within the IT industry
Proficiency in Confluence and Jira, with demonstrated experience in leveraging these tools to support configuration management activities
Strong understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principles and practices, particularly in the areas of configuration management, change management, and release management
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve configuration-related issues effectively
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Must be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret / SCI clearance
Must be a US Citizen
Must have Comptia Sec+ Certification

Preferred

Prior experience supporting Air Force Cyber or USCYBERCOM
Prior experience with defensive cyber
Prior experience with AFLCMC/HNCD
List additional skills and experience that are 'nice to have' but not required
