Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage a structured month-end and quarter-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll coordination
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for leadership
Develop meaningful financial reporting, dashboards, and KPIs to support decision-making
Provide variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting support
Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and manage the audit process end-to-end
Implement and maintain internal controls to support audit readiness and financial integrity
Ensure compliance with tax filings and coordination with external tax advisors
Establish and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) across accounting and finance functions
Lead invoicing automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and cash flow
Evaluate and improve financial systems, tools, and workflows to support growth
Act as a strategic advisor to company leadership on financial and operational matters
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and leadership to align financial processes with business needs
Build scalable processes that can support future hiring and company expansion
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)
8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibility
Experience in a privately held, growing, or entrepreneurial environment
Strong background in month-end close, financial reporting, audits, and internal controls
Demonstrated experience implementing processes, SOPs, and system improvements
Hands-on leader comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels
Strong communication skills and ability to partner with non-financial stakeholders
