Vice President, Data Strategy & Analytics
Advertising Week is seeking a Vice President of Data Strategy & Analytics to lead the transformation of their data capabilities and unlock new revenue and audience insights. This executive will shape and execute a companywide data strategy to enhance customer understanding and drive product optimization across their B2B events and media portfolio.

Responsibilities
Define and drive a multi-year enterprise data strategy aligned with company growth objectives, including audience expansion, event performance optimization, and revenue diversification
Partner with senior business leaders across events, editorial, sales, marketing, and product to identify high-impact data opportunities and convert insights into measurable business outcomes
Design data-driven commercial strategies, including segmentation models, audience intelligence, yield optimization, sponsorship analytics, and pricing insights
Build and scale data products and services that enhance customer value, support personalization, and create new revenue streams for clients and partners
Oversee advanced analytics programs that fuel content strategy, customer behavior analysis, event forecasting, churn modeling, and marketing attribution
Set and evangelize a companywide framework for data storytelling and executive reporting, enabling precise, data-backed decision-making
Provide executive oversight of data platforms, data engineering, architecture, and governance to ensure accuracy, scalability, and compliance across all business units
Build a unified view of customer, event, and engagement data through master data management, metadata standards, and data quality programs
Drive the evolution of our cloud data ecosystem, ensuring modern, efficient, and secure infrastructure for analytics and AI
Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team spanning data strategy, analytics, engineering, and data governance
Foster a culture of data literacy and innovation across the company, enabling teams to independently leverage insights in day-to-day decision-making
Represent the data strategy function at the executive table, influencing long-term business planning, product roadmaps, and digital transformation initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in data strategy, analytics, or digital transformation, ideally within media, events, information services, or B2B organizations
Demonstrated success translating data and insights into business strategy, revenue growth, and customer value creation
Deep understanding of AI and applied machine learning, with a track record of deploying AI solutions that improve business performance or customer experience
Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Databricks, GCP, Snowflake), modern BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and analytics environments
Proven ability to lead data governance, MDM, and enterprise data management initiatives
Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder leadership, and strategic storytelling abilities
Strong commercial mindset with experience supporting sales, marketing, product development, and audience engagement functions
Ability to operate as both a strategic leader and a hands-on problem solver in a dynamic, fast-paced media environment
Preferred
advanced degree preferred in data science, business analytics, computer science, or related field
