Human Resources Assistant
Responsibilities
Drafting and posting job advertisements, screening resumes, performing background and reference checks, and coordinating interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers
Facilitating new hire orientation, preparing employment packets, coordinating equipment provisioning (e.g., computers, logins), and tracking completion of mandatory training sessions
Updating and auditing employee records in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), such as personal details, employment status, tax forms (I-9, W-4), and performance evaluations
Ensuring all documentation aligns with local, state, and federal labor laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA) and maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive data
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong verbal and written skills for interacting with diverse staff and external partners
The ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
A high level of integrity and professionalism when handling confidential information
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR or Business Administration
