Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking a Web Developer Intern to join their Production Software division. The intern will work on cutting-edge web technologies contributing to the Nexus platform, gaining hands-on experience in web development and Agile processes.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the web development team to design, develop, test, and maintain web applications that integrate seamlessly with Hexagon’s Nexus platform

Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to enhance user interfaces and experiences

Develop and implement back-end functionality using C# and other relevant technologies

Monitor application performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement proactive performance improvements

Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and regular demonstrations with senior web developers

Assist in the documentation of technical processes, including system architecture, workflows, and development standards

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, product managers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality web applications

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field

Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, with the ability to apply them to real-world problems

Strong foundation in web front-end development, including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML

Familiarity with back-end development concepts and technologies, particularly C#

Experience with development tools such as Visual Studio Code, Git, and Azure DevOps (or similar tools)

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset for tackling challenges

Basic knowledge of data analysis

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote team members

A keen interest in learning and staying up to date with the latest trends and best practices in web development

Preferred

Experience with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services

Knowledge of responsive design principles and front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js

Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS

Understanding of UI/UX principles and a passion for creating user-friendly interfaces
