Payroll Assistant
HirePower is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join the team. In this role, you’ll process payroll for hourly and salaried employees, manage wage garnishments, ensure accurate benefits deductions, and support leadership with payroll and accounting projects.
Responsibilities
Process payroll and manage wage garnishments
Verify and update benefits deductions
Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy
Prepare payroll transfer reports
Support year-end payroll activities (W-2s, reconciliations, reports)
Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries
Qualification
Required
1+ year of payroll experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
High school diploma or GED required
Preferred
Experience with QuickBooks and PayChoice/Payroll Associates
Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
