QA Inspector

The Blackhawk Group is expanding its Performance Centers nationwide and is seeking a QA Inspector who will ensure maintenance work meets the highest FAA, OEM, and company standards. This role involves conducting inspections, authorizing return-to-service approvals, and supporting the Quality Management System to maintain safety and compliance in aviation operations.

Make critical airworthiness determinations
Perform comprehensive inspections
Authorize return-to-service (RTS)
Ensure documentation and tool compliance
Serve as a technical and regulatory resource
Support the Quality Management System

Qualification

FAA A&P CertificateInspection Authorization (IA)FAA regulations knowledgeAircraft maintenance experienceQuality assurance experienceDetail-orientedCommunication skills

Required

FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
Inspection Authorization (IA)
5+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, or overhaul experience
2+ years of inspection, quality assurance, or RTS authorization experience in a Part 145 Repair Station
Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, repair station procedures, and maintenance documentation

Preferred

Advanced training in Part 145 operations, auditing, quality systems, or human factors
OEM or formal quality-system training
Prior lead or mentoring experience
