Responsibilities

Build and lead a high-performing claims team

Align claims strategy with enterprise risk management goals

Provide insights and influence senior leadership on risk mitigation and emerging trends

Oversee self-administered Hull & Machinery (H&M) and Protection & Indemnity (P&I) claims for Crowley’s owned and managed fleets

Manage investigation, reporting, reserving, negotiation, and resolution of high-severity, complex, and litigated claims

Ensure timely coordination of Service of Process (SOP) and legal defense actions

Coordinate with P&I Clubs, underwriters, surveyors, defense counsel, TPAs, and other external partners

Provide functional oversight to BOSCOE (shared services) Cargo & Equipment Claims team

Represent Crowley in mediations, arbitrations, and legal proceedings

Standardize and modernize core claims processes for consistency and efficiency

Deploy digital tools, AI, and predictive analytics to enhance reporting and operational performance

Partner with Accounting & FP&A for reserves, accruals, cash forecasts, and Beacon reporting

Deliver claims insights, trend analysis, and financial-impact reports to senior leadership

Ensure adherence to U.S. maritime law, international conventions, insurance regulations, and global compliance standards
