The intern will work closely with engineers and scientists to conduct experiments, participate in the cell building process, analyze data, and communicate results to the team.

Responsibilities
Work closely with and under the direction of scientists and engineers to run experiments at the lab bench scale
Participate in all components of the cell building process including (but not limited to): weighing out powders/solvents, making slurries, casting slurries, building cells, testing cells (use of potentiostats and battery cyclers)
Analyze data from cells to make recommendations for future iterations and/or cells
Communicate results and roadblocks to the broader team/audience
Always follow all facility and laboratory safety rules and regulations
Qualification
Required
Enrolled at least at a junior level in a bachelor's program in a STEM field
Comfort with safe handling of hazardous materials and equipment (required)
Excellent communication skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
Ability to work onsite 12+ hours per week during Spring semester
Preferred
Experience with battery materials, cell builds, data analysis, and/or failure modes is a plus
Knowledge of electrochemistry is preferred and a plus
Experience with material characterization techniques (XRD, SEM/EDS, rheology, etc.) is a plus
Experience with Python is a plus
Rapid learner and self-motivated who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative start-up environment
