Responsibilities

Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring site-specific safety programs (e.g., HASPs) in alignment with company policies and OSHA/ANSI standards
Conduct safety audits, inspections, and hazard analyses to identify risks and recommend corrective actions
Ensure adherence to training requirements (e.g., OSHA 500) and maintain safety equipment/PPE
Assist in investigations of accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; document findings and recommend preventive measures
Coordinate with project managers and clients for reporting and compliance
Participate in site orientations and safety training for employees and subcontractors
Assist in reviewing safety submittals, AHAs, and work plans for hazard mitigation
Support the organization of safety meetings and toolbox talks
Assist in monitoring leading/lagging indicators, analyzing injury/incident trends, and managing case/return-to-work programs
Maintain safety documentation and software systems (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Procore)

OSHA 30-Hour TrainingProcoreMicrosoft OfficeSpanish-speakingCommunication skillsProblem-solving skillsTeamwork skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Safety, Occupational Health, or related field
0-2 years of experience in construction/industrial safety or a related field; previous internships or entry-level roles are welcome
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Willingness to relocate for the project duration if applicable
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites

Preferred

OSHA 30-Hour Training or equivalent safety certifications
BCSP Construction Health and Safety Technician
Spanish-speaking skills are highly preferred to communicate with diverse teams and stakeholders effectively
Experience with Procore or similar construction management software is preferred, as it enhances the ability to manage safety data and compliance efficiently
