Responsibilities

Promote and maintain effective communications and relations (verbally and in writing) with district management, project management teams and engineers/clients as required
Examine and inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered; take corrective action as needed
Identify potential safety hazards and take all necessary corrective actions to eliminate or minimize them
Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Kiewit Quality Management System and procedures and promote standardization
Manage Welding Procedure Specification log and files for assigned districts
Assist in conducting project quality audits and reports

Required

At least a four years bachelors degree in engineering or science; or technical college degree plus two years' experience in related construction field
Must be able to clearly communicate the status of quality on a project
Excellent communication and technical writing skills, ability to research and work with detailed/technical matters and convey/explain the information to field personnel
Ability to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint software programs as well as able to quickly learn other software applications
Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks with deadlines and potentially frequent interruptions
Eligibility for this position requires sole US citizenship; the successful candidate must provide proof of US citizenship in order to obtain badge access to the site
Candidate must complete security questionnaire and successfully clear site access requirements check
All employees are subject and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment
Must be able to obtain a security clearance, as applicable

Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required
