Mid LevelTechgene Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to evaluate and modernize the organization’s cybersecurity posture in alignment with CJIS and NIST compliance. The role focuses on identifying risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering actionable recommendations to safeguard sensitive data and critical systems.

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity and risk assessments across IT infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems
Evaluate compliance with CJIS Security Policy, NIST frameworks, NIBRS requirements, and applicable privacy and data protection regulations
Identify security vulnerabilities, resiliency gaps, and data protection risks across core operational and technology platforms
Review cybersecurity policies, procedures, access controls, incident response capabilities, and data governance practices
Recommend security enhancements, technical controls, and best practices to address both short-term risks and long-term modernization goals
Support the development of a prioritized cybersecurity roadmap aligned with organizational, operational, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with technical teams, leadership, and project stakeholders to clearly communicate findings, risks, and recommendations
Qualification
Required
Proven experience conducting cybersecurity assessments and compliance reviews in regulated environments
Strong knowledge of CJIS Security Policy, NIST standards, and public-sector cybersecurity best practices
Experience assessing hybrid cloud and on-premises environments and complex technology ecosystems
Ability to translate technical risks and security concepts into clear, actionable guidance for executive and non-technical audiences
