Director of Developer Advocacy & Marketing

Responsibilities
Own product positioning, messaging, pricing strategy, and packaging for GAPVelocity AI products
Partner deeply with product and engineering on product planning, roadmap input, and launch readiness
Translate highly technical capabilities into clear value propositions for CIOs, architects, tech scouts and Microsoft sellers
Build launch plans for new products, editions, features, and pricing changes
Develop competitive narratives and differentiation for enterprise buyers
Develop marketing that speaks credibly to engineers, architects, and technical decision-makers
Learn, understand, and communicate both modern (.NET, Blazor, Azure, AI, Copilot) and legacy (VB6, PowerBuilder, Access, WinForms) technologies
Collaborate with engineers to create technical content: demos, blogs, videos, docs, webinars, and talks
Act as a bridge between deeply technical teams and GTM execution
Own and evolve the entire GTM lifecycle: awareness → demand → pipeline → sales enablement
Partner with sales leadership to understand pipeline, deal stages, objections, and buying signals
Build sales enablement assets that actually get used (talk tracks, decks, one-pagers, ROI tools)
Support Microsoft co-sell motions and vertical GTM plays
Own and manage HubSpot across marketing and sales (website, CRM, automation, attribution, reporting)
Own and manage Gong for pipeline visibility, insights, and deal intelligence
Ensure clean data, clear dashboards, and actionable reporting for leadership
Continuously improve marketing ops, workflows, and automation
Lead and develop a small but high-impact marketing team
Manage agencies, contractors, and vendors as needed
Set clear priorities, execution standards, and accountability
Qualification
Required
Background in software engineering, computer science, or technical roles or equivalent hands-on experience
Experience with enterprise buyers and long, complex sales cycles
Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystems (.NET, Azure, Blazor) and/or legacy modernization
Experience marketing technical products, platforms, or developer-facing solutions
Strong technical curiosity. You don't need to code daily, but you must be able to understand how things work
Comfort working directly with engineers and product leaders
Experience owning or heavily influencing pricing, positioning, and GTM strategy
