Quality Programs Specialist - Hannibal

The Quality Programs Specialist will monitor and review the health, safety, rights, data integrity, and quality of services for individuals receiving supports and services, while coordinating and implementing quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

Monitoring the health/safety/rights and quality of services for individuals receiving supports and services
Participating in and/or facilitating quality assurance committees (Due Process, Mortality Review, etc.)
Working with various state trackers, databases and other state processes
Participating in the development/analysis of trend reports (regional quality enhancement plan, provider data reports, etc.)
Monitoring provider data, submitting annual reports, as well as quarterly reports as needed
Assuring data integrity within various databases utilized by the Quality Programs Team
Tracking contacts/complaints from Office of Constituent Services, assuring pertinent information and resolution of issues
Reviewing event management reports, assessing data integrity related to consumer safety
Working closely with QE/RN’s to assure health/safety and assess health related patterns and trends
Collaborating with regional and statewide team members and other stakeholders for internal/external communication and follow-up
Participating with regional processes for improvement initiatives
Assisting with coordinating trainings and/or offering technical assistance for stakeholders related to quality assurance processes
Facilitating NCI (National Core Indicator Surveys) and QSR (Quality of Service Reviews) process
Participating in a multidisciplinary team approach to problem-solve issues

Required

Six or more years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities
Experience with gathering and analyzing data for trends
Experience with due process and working with individuals and teams to ensure that rights are protected
Experience with providing technical assistance to stakeholders related to quality programs processes
Interact as a positive team player and contribute to the success of the team
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and stakeholders
Use proactive problem solving skills to identify issues, develop/implement strategies, and resolve issues to lessen their overall impact
Complete work assignments within established timelines
Utilize and to develop computer skills, (use of systems and databases)
Demonstrate effective communication and organizational skills, strong work ethic, interpersonal, learning / adaptability skills
