IMCS Group is seeking a Financial Advocate / Patient Access Representative to serve as the primary contact for patient education regarding insurance benefits and billing processes. The role involves performing financial screenings, ensuring billing clearance, and securing payment arrangements.

Responsibilities

Perform a thorough financial screening of patients
Ensure that all accounts have been cleared for billing
Obtain insurance authorization for services
Secure payment arrangements (including collection of co-payment/coinsurance) prior to patient discharge and for major outpatient services
Identify other potential payment sources (including Financial Assistance program, initiating/completing the Medical Assistance application process)
Provide costs estimates

Required

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Effective organizational skills, including ability to prioritize, problem solve, and resolve conflict

Must be able to work under considerable stress, using tact and diplomacy
